You have the ability to run refunds/returns on your terminal without having to find the original transaction. Below are the steps to do so.

Where to Go

To run a refund, go to the homepage of your Sierra app. You will see several boxes with different colored words. You want to select the Return button in green on the middle row, far right column.

Once in the correct page of your app (explained above), you will simply input the amount and swipe the customer’s card. If you do not have the you can manually input the information, you will need the card number (account number) and the expiration date at the very least.

Once this is done you will receive a receipt from the machine. The transaction will batch out with the rest of your batch and the customer will receive it in 24-48 hours (sometimes longer) depending on their bank.
