These instructions are to perform a partial download a Verifone VX520 and VX520CLS terminal that is boarded through PaySafe. These instructions will work regardless of the back end processor provided the VX520 has the correct encryption.

Is this a Dial Up Terminal?

Before starting these instructions, make sure the customer is using an ethernet cable, and that it is plugged into the proper ETH port on the bottom of the machine.

Often times customers using dial up also have the internet in an office of the business and can perform the download there. If you are performing an IP download for a Dial up phone the steps are the same, except Part 3 needs to be done after you have moved the terminal to its original location and plugged it into the phone line.

Have you batched out?

Typically, partial downloads don’t impact the batch on the terminal. However there are rare occasions when they can harm or prevent it from batching. I recommend settling the batch, if possible, before doing the download just to be safe.

Download SSL (Value)	If the Value is not "False", Press far right purple key to Edit, then enter "False". If the Value is "False", press Enter (Green Key).
Download Block Size (Value)	If the Value is not "1000", Press far right purple key to Edit, then enter "1000". If the Value is "1000", press Enter (Green Key).
Download Heap Size (Value)	If the Value is not "4096", Press far right purple key to Edit, and then enter "4096 ". If the Value is "4096", press Enter (Green Key).
Download Terminal ID (Value)	Press far right purple key to Edit, then enter the Terminal ID/Download ID.
Download Application Name (Value)	If the Value is not "MA", Press far right purple key to Edit, then enter "MA". Press the Green Enter Key 7 times.
Download Please Wait * * * - - - - - - -	Wait for the loading bar to complete. It may say download done briefly. Then it will show the page below.

Part 3: Rebooting and Testing

Please select Download Setup timeout Setup Network	Press the Red Button once.
Network Control Panel Ethernet Connected Menu	Select the far left purple key underneath “Menu”
Control Panel Tools Terminal Info Setup	Press the purple Key on the Left with the bold " ↓ " until it goes to the next page and Restart is highlighted. Then press the Green Enter key.
The terminal will now reboot and show a lot of screens. When it is done it will show the screen below.
DATE TIME CommServer SOFTPAY-TSYS	Press F3 for Softpay-Tsys
Authentication Authentication Code:	Enter: MCPS1234
Authentication Zip Code:	Enter the zip code of the DBA/Physical Address.
DATE TIME Sale Phone Order Void	Test a sale with the test cards we have available in the office. Void any successful sales.
